BIM and 2022 World Cup Final Stadium in Quatar
A very interesting article about the usage of BIM for design, construction and operation of a football stadium for the finals of the 2022 World Cup in football in Qatar. Using efficient BIM methods, 40% of investment costs out of the total of £ 2 billion were saved. BIM enabled cooperation of many offices worldwide, leveraged process and data automation = minimizing human error, and worked with a total of 389 3D separate models combined into one, including overall profession coordination, workflow and individual collisions.
